  24. ABSTRACT
  25. Celiac disease, and, more generally, gluten intolerance, is a growing problem worldwide, but
  26. especially in North America and Europe, where an estimated 5% of the population now suffers from
  27. it. Symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, skin rashes, macrocytic anemia and depression. It is a
  28. multifactorial disease associated with numerous nutritional deficiencies as well as reproductive
  29. issues and increased risk to thyroid disease, kidney failure and cancer. Here, we propose that
  30. glyphosate, the active ingredient in the herbicide, Roundup®, is the most important causal factor
  31. in this epidemic. Fish exposed to glyphosate develop digestive problems that are reminiscent of
  32. celiac disease. Celiac disease is associated with imbalances in gut bacteria that can be fully
  33. explained by the known effects of glyphosate on gut bacteria. Characteristics of celiac disease
  34. point to impairment in many cytochrome P450 enzymes, which are involved with detoxifying
  35. environmental toxins, activating vitamin D3, catabolizing vitamin A, and maintaining bile acid
  36. production and sulfate supplies to the gut. Glyphosate is known to inhibit cytochrome P450
  37. enzymes. Deficiencies in iron, cobalt, molybdenum, copper and other rare metals associated with
  38. celiac disease can be attributed to glyphosate’s strong ability to chelate these elements.
  39. Deficiencies in tryptophan, tyrosine, methionine and selenomethionine associated with celiac
  40. disease match glyphosate’s known depletion of these amino acids. Celiac disease patients have an
  41. increased risk to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which has also been implicated in glyphosate exposure.
  42. Reproductive issues associated with celiac disease, such as infertility, miscarriages, and birth
  43. defects, can also be explained by glyphosate. Glyphosate residues in wheat and other crops are
  44. likely increasing recently due to the growing practice of crop desiccation just prior to the
  45. harvest. We argue that the practice of “ripening” sugar cane with glyphosate may explain the
  46. recent surge in kidney failure among agricultural workers in Central America. We conclude with a
  47. plea to governments to reconsider policies regarding the safety of glyphosate residues in foods."

  51. Confirmed, FDA illegally allowed GE foods into market without proper GRAS
  52. qualification and illegally perpetuated flagrant abuse of U.S. Law to
  53. serve Biotech interests!

  55. "29. Although the FDA has been illegally, and fraudulently, exempting GE
  56. foods from the testing requirements established by Congress in 1958,
  57. hardly any current members of Congress are aware of the malfeasance.
  58. Consequently, the House of Representatives (in passing a bill titled the
  59.  “Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act of 2015”) voted to remove the
  60. requirements that the FDA has been illicitly waiving; and it appears
  61. that virtually none of those who voted “yes” realized that they were in
  62. essence forgiving the FDA’s flagrant violation of the law (and its
  63. snubbing of the Congressional will) – and legitimizing a policy that was
  64.  deemed both unscientific and risky by the agency’s own experts.* ...*
  65. Although the provisions of the bill that have garnered most attention
  66. are those that relate to labeling (especially the one that prohibits
  67. states from requiring the labeling of GMOs sold within their borders),
  68. the provision that legitimizes the FDA’s lax and illegal no-testing
  69. policy is the one that alters current statutory law."

  72.  helping hand. They are: Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), author of the 2013
  73. Monsanto Protection Act; Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Thad
  74. Cochran (R-Miss.), who blocked repeal of the 2013 Monsanto Protection
  75. Act and could stick the DARK Act into a must-pass spending bill; Senate
  76. Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) and Agriculture
  77. Committee member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), DARK Act supporters who could
  78. attach H.R. 1599 to the Child Nutrition Act; and Senate Majority Leader
  79. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who has the power to allow the DARK Act to get a
  80.  Senate vote as an amendment to another piece of legislation."

  84. "The misinformation campaign of the USDA Food and Nutrition Service: SNAP,
  85. the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, provides free government
  86. money for families with low income who mainly purchase toxic, processed
  87. and genetically modified food and toxic beverages from conventional
  88. grocers. Nearly one sixth, or 50,000,000 Americans are currently under
  89. the “auspice” of this program that virtually handicaps a large portion
  90. of the population, and basically “sells them out” to large corporations
  91. that feed toxicity to humans and the environment daily.
  92. Even homeless people believe that conventional food is safe for consumption,
  93.  thanks to the USDA. USDA “aid” can be funneled through foreign
  94. governments, USAID and the World Food Program, and according to the Agricultural Act of 1949,
  95. the USDA is provided with legal basis for these actions. Pay it forward sixty
  96. years, and now the USDA dabbles in controlling food sales to domestic
  97. and world markets, and provides genetically modified (cancer-causing)
  98. food to needy countries around the world, who usually are also
  99. influenced to be inoculated with untested, toxic vaccines pushed by the
  100. CDC and the auspicious, infamous Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation"
